Exciting 13-week night shift assignment opportunity for a Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical Unit at MUSC Health Charleston, an esteemed Level I Trauma Center and Teaching Facility in the picturesque city of Charleston, SC. This magnet hospital boasts a staffed bed count of 820 and employs charting on the state-of-the-art EPIC system. The position entails three 12-hour shifts, running from 7 PM to 7 AM, inclusive of a requirement of 4 weekend shifts per month. Ratio: 1:4-1:5. A minimum of 1-year experience and a SC or Multi State/Compact RN license are required, along with BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). First-time travellers are warmly welcomed. Potential for accommodating block schedules may be approved based on the unit’s needs and manager’s approval request. Locals are also considered on a case-by-case basis, albeit at a modulated bill rate. Please note, all Time-Off Requests must be included at the time of submission, bearing in mind that approval is oriented around the facility’s policy and needs. With a patient population from the adulthood stage and beyond, the U07A Family Medicine unit caters a broad spectrum of medical and surgical patients leaning towards chronic illnesses. All RNs are required to wear either Solid Royal Blue or a White top with Royal blue bottoms scrubs. The facility restricts local hires to a 60-mile radius. Parking permits can be procured from the Parking Management Office, located at 91 Presidents Street. Charges include a $20 registration fee for a hang tag, a pass allowing garage use without extra fees.
