Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.Minimum 2 + years of high acuity PCU level or higher required! ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED!Special Procedures/Unit Details:Comprehensive Cancer Center, 318 acute care beds. All inpatient units/ 36 beds. Units are specialized by cancer diagnosis.Floating to MedSurg and PCU Oncology units including: BMT Acute Leukemia Hematology Medical Oncology PCU Oncology Gynecological Oncology Urology Colorectal Surgical Oncology Corrections Healthcare-Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fallsCertifications required: ACLS BLS NIHSSStaffing ratios – PCU is 1:3, can be 1:4 w/ mixed acuity, M/S Tele ideally 1:4 but can be 1:5Weekends – variable based on unit needsNo set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staffSelf-schedule requests – you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final scheduleFirst week of orientation is Mon – Fri dayshift.
