RESPONSIBILITIES:

Med-Surg RNs provide bedside care for a variety of patients and execute individualized patient assessments to create an individualized plan of care. RNs prepare equipment and assist physicians during examination and treatment of patients. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications 
• Initiate alternative action when adverse symptomology is displayed 
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs when necessary
