What Medely is looking for in a Certified Medical Assistant:

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
NATIONALLY CERTIFIED as an RMA from AMT, CMA from AAMT or CCMA from NHAA.
Minimum of 1 year of recent work experience in an Acute Care or Hospital setting. (Not including clinical rotations).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Understanding of medical and anatomical terminology.
Having skills in one or more of the following is helpful: Accucheck, Back Office, Bilingual, Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT 1), Chart Assembly, Culture Throat Wound, Dressing Changes, Ear Irrigation/Lavage, EKG Administrator, Enema, FIling Reports, Front Office, Infants/Pediatrics, Insurance Verification, Phlebotomy/Venipuncture, Prescriptions; Call-Ins, Pulmonary Aid/Nebulizer, Reception Duties; Phone, Appointments, Screens: Visual &/or Audiometry, Sterilization/Autoclave use, Suture &/or Staple Removal, Turnover & Re-stock Rooms, Vital Signs, Obtain History, X Rays
