Travel Psychiatric Intensive Care RN assignments in Westbrook, ME place you at a 100-bed free-standing psychiatric hospital specializing in acute mental health care for adults and adolescents. The hospital features a dedicated 6-bed psychiatric intensive care unit designed for patients with complex behavioral health needs. The unit primarily serves individuals with thought disorders, psychosis, personality disorders, and manic episodes. Recommended skills include crisis intervention, teamwork, and familiarity with psychiatric electronic medical records.
Westbrook is a welcoming community just outside Portland, Maine’s largest city, which is about a 15-minute drive away. The area offers easy access to Portland’s vibrant arts, dining, and coastal attractions, making it an appealing destination for travelers.
