Required qualifications include an active RN license in Illinois, prior experience in intensive care or critical care settings, strong clinical assessment and communication skills, and proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage complex patient cases, respond effectively in high-pressure situations, and work well within a team.
Recommended experience includes at least one year of ICU nursing, advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification, and familiarity with evidence-based protocols for critical care. Experience with patient and family education, as well as a commitment to continuous learning, is highly valued.
