As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, you will triage patients, provide critical interventions, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize and treat acute conditions.
You must have an active Illinois RN license, recent emergency department experience, and Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications are often preferred. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is required.
Recommended skills include strong critical thinking, rapid assessment, and the ability to remain calm under pressure in high-acuity situations. The facility offers a collaborative environment focused on quality outcomes and evidence-based care.
