August Larson is Senior Director of recruitment for Medtravelers in our Allied division. He runs a team of 17 recruiters and also is involved with AMN strategic initiatives. August has 17 years of experience in Healthcare starting at Platinum Select which was acquired by AMN in 2008. He started as a recruiter placing allied healthcare professionals and then went the leadership path and is Senior director leading a team while also serving on company initiatives.
Maile McKown is a Director of Recruitment in Travel Nursing. Maile joined AMN in November 2013 as a recruiter. She quickly moved up the ranks to become a top-producing recruiter and was promoted to Director in June 2019. Prior to joining AMN, Maile spent over 5.5 years working for large global public accounting firms, including PricewaterhouseCoopers and BDO. Maile has a bachelor’s degree in business with a minor in economics from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
Tim Yu is a Director of Recruitment for the travel nurse division. He runs a team of 13 recruiters and is involved with AMN’s strategic initiatives. Tim has been at AMN for the last 3 years and started his career as a recruiter. Prior to healthcare staffing, Tim worked in sales and sales management for various industries.
