Key Responsibilities of the Travel Surgical Technologist First Assist:

• Provide first-assist support to surgeons during operative procedures

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical field

• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and intraoperative exposure

• Handle instruments, suturing, hemostasis, and wound closure as appropriate

• Anticipate surgeon needs and ensure efficient surgical flow

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff

• Adhere to all safety, infection-control, and sterile technique standards

• Document surgical procedures accurately and thoroughly

Requirements ;of the Travel Surgical Technologist First Assist:

• 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist First Assist experience

• Active CST and First Assist certification (CSFA or equivalent)

• Current BLS certification
