Key Responsibilities of the Travel Speech Language Pathologist:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
• Provide therapy to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and therapists
• Educate patients and families on strategies, exercises, and techniques for recovery
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies

Requirements of the Travel Speech Language Pathologist:

• Active California Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in a clinical, school, or hospital setting
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and interpersonal skills
