Key Responsibilities of the Travel Respiratory Therapist:

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages in both acute and critical care settings

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized respiratory therapy treatments

• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and ventilator management per physician orders

• Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function assessments

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes

• Monitor patient progress, adjust therapy as needed, and document care accurately

• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, safety procedures, and regulatory standards

Requirements ;of the Travel Respiratory Therapist:

• Active West Virginia Respiratory Therapist license or valid Compact license

• CRT certification required (RRT preferred)

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and STABLE certifications required

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or acute care setting
