Travel Registered Nurse – Stepdown

Key Responsibilities of the Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse:

• Provide expert nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units

• Monitor complex patients requiring continuous cardiac or hemodynamic observation

• Administer medications, titrate drips, and assess patient responses to treatment

• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records

• Support patients and families with education and emotional care during recovery

• Uphold all hospital safety, infection control, and quality standards

Requirements of the Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse:

• Active RN license (Pennsylvania or compact state)

• BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications required

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Stepdown or Progressive Care RN experience in an acute care hospital

• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient monitoring skills
