Key Responsibilities of the Travel Post Partum Nurse:
- Provide direct nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns, including monitoring vital signs, assessing physical and emotional well-being, and assisting with recovery
- Support breastfeeding initiation and provide lactation education to new mothers
- Administer medications and pain management as prescribed
- Educate parents on newborn care, postpartum recovery, and warning signs for complications
- Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with hospital standards
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality policies
- Provide compassionate emotional support to families adjusting to new parenthood
Requirements ;of the Travel Post Partum Nurse:

Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license

Current BLS and NRP certifications

At least years 2 of Post Partum experience required
