Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment is sterile and available

Assist in surgical procedures while maintaining aseptic technique

Monitor patient status during surgery and respond to changes promptly

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists

Maintain detailed and accurate intraoperative records

Provide support in pre-op and post-op phases when needed
Requirements of the Travel Nurse

Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Minimum of 2 years’ recent OR nursing experience
