Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

• Prepare the operating room and assist during surgical procedures

• Maintain aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and infection control

• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, responding to any changes

• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to deliver effective care

• Ensure accurate documentation of all perioperative activities

• Provide post-operative support and education to patients and families

Requirements of the Travel Nurse

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Current BLS certification

• Minimum of 2 years’ recent Operating Room experience
