Key Responsibilities of the Travel OR Registered Nurse:

Deliver expert nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
-
Prepare the operating room with appropriate instruments, supplies, and sterile equipment
-
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure safe and efficient operations
-
Maintain aseptic technique and ensure compliance with infection control standards

Monitor patients intraoperatively and respond promptly to any changes in condition

Accurately document perioperative activities and patient responses

Assist with post-operative recovery and transfer to PACU or other care units as needed
Requirements of the Travel OR Registered Nurse:

Active RN license (West Virginia or compact state)

BLS certification required.

Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in an acute care setting

Strong understanding of surgical procedures, equipment, and sterile field management
