Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

Key Responsibilities of the Travel OR Registered Nurse:

• Deliver expert nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures

• Prepare and maintain the operating room with appropriate instruments, equipment, and supplies

• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure safe, efficient operations

• Maintain strict sterile technique and compliance with infection control protocols

• Monitor patients intraoperatively and respond promptly to emergent situations

• Accurately document perioperative activities and patient responses

• Assist with patient recovery and transfer to PACU or other post-operative units

Requirements of the Travel OR Registered Nurse:

• Active RN license (West Virginia or compact state)

• BLS certification required

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in an acute care hospital

• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and aseptic practices
