Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

Key Responsibilities of the Travel OR Registered Nurse:

• Provide expert nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures

• Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure safe, efficient operations

• Maintain sterile technique and ensure adherence to infection control standards

• Monitor patient status intraoperatively and respond to emergent needs

• Document all perioperative activities accurately in the patient record

• Support patient recovery and handoff to post-anesthesia care or other units as appropriate

Requirements of the Travel OR Registered Nurse:

• Active RN license (Colorado or compact state)

• BLS and ACLS certifications required

• Minimum of 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in an acute care hospital

• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile field management
