Key Responsibilities of the Travel OR RN:

• Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures

• Circulate and/or scrub as needed depending on the facility’s requirements

• Prepare the OR, ensuring proper equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies

• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and surgical techs

• Maintain accurate documentation throughout all phases of care

• Uphold strict sterile technique and patient safety protocols

Requirements of the Travel Nurse:

• Active West Virginia RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start)

• BLS, ACLS and PALS required

• Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience

• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile field management, and OR safety standards
