Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Key Responsibilities of the OR RN:

• Provide perioperative nursing care for a variety of surgical procedures

• Ensure patient safety throughout pre-, intra-, and postoperative phases

• Prepare the OR, surgical instruments, and necessary equipment

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists

• Maintain strict sterile field protocols

• Accurately document patient information in the EMR

• Respond quickly and effectively to intraoperative changes

Requirements of the OR RN:

• Active New York RN license (or ability to obtain before start)

• BLS required

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience

• Strong knowledge of OR procedures, safety standards, and sterile technique

• Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills
