Key Responsibilities of the Travel Neuro MedSurg Registered Nurse:

Provide specialized care to patients with neurological conditions, trauma, or post-neurosurgical needs
-
Monitor and assess neurological status, including level of consciousness and motor/sensory function

Administer medications, perform treatments, and respond to changes in patient condition promptly

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to develop individualized care plans

Educate patients and families on recovery processes, safety, and discharge instructions

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
Requirements of the Travel Neuro MedSurg Registered Nurse:

Active RN license (Illinois or compact state)

BLS and NIHSS certifications required.

Minimum of 2 years of recent Neuro MedSurg RN experience in an acute care hospital

Strong neurological assessment and critical thinking skills
