Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

• Deliver high-quality patient care within a fast-paced MedSurg/Telemetry environment.

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs, responding promptly to any abnormalities.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to care plans.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care strategies.

• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.

• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with hospital policies and compliance standards.

• Respond to medical emergencies, escalating concerns to appropriate clinical leads.

• Contribute to a positive patient experience through compassionate and attentive care.

Requirements of the Travel Nurse

• Valid NY Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a MedSurg/Telemetry setting
