Key Responsibilities of the MedSurg/Tele RN
- Provide compassionate, comprehensive care to patients on MedSurg/Telemetry units
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, patient vitals, and respond to urgent changes
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery, and discharge instructions
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in line with hospital protocols
Requirements of the Travel Nurse
- Active Ohio or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience
- Strong adaptability and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment
