Key Responsibilities of the MedSurg/Tele RN:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with diverse medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to telemetry alerts, and escalate concerns promptly

• Perform detailed assessments, administer medications, and evaluate patient responses

• Manage multiple patients and prioritize care in a fast-paced environment

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes

• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and discharge plans

• Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the EMR system

• Adhere to safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and hospital policies

Requirements of the MedSurg/Tele RN:

• Active New York RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start)

• BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred

• Minimum 2 years of recent MedSurg/Tele experience in an acute care hospital

• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition

• Strong communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills
