Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions.

• Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as prescribed.

• Monitor patient status, report changes, and document care accurately.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.

• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.

• Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control guidelines, and safety standards.

Requirements of the Travel Nurse

• Active New Mexico RN license (or compact eligible).

• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

• Minimum 1–2 years’ recent MedSurg nursing experience.

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to manage a diverse patient population in a dynamic unit.

• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts.
