Travel Registered Nurse – MedSurg

Key Responsibilities of the Travel MedSurg Registered Nurse:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and post-surgical conditions

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document accurately in the EMR

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and protocols

• Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with the care team

• Educate patients and families on recovery, discharge planning, and ongoing care needs

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices

Requirements of the Travel MedSurg Registered Nurse:

• Active RN license (Illinois or compact state)

• BLS certification required.

• Minimum of 2 years of recent MedSurg experience in an acute care hospital

• Strong clinical assessment, time management, and patient education skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
