Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

Deliver safe, compassionate care throughout all phases of labor and delivery
-
Monitor maternal and fetal health, interpreting vital signs and responding to complications

Administer medications and manage pain relief methods, including epidurals

Support patients and their families during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery

Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthetists, pediatricians, and support staff for optimal outcomes

Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with hospital policies
-
Respond swiftly and effectively to obstetric emergencies

Provide education on postnatal care and breastfeeding support
Requirements of the Travel Nurse

Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid Compact license

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
