Travel Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (RN)

Seven Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in San Jose, California. This day shift role (3×12-hour shifts) offers a weekly total of $3,000 and is ideal for nurses passionate about providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process.

Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

• Provide care and support through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum.

• Monitor fetal heart tones, maternal vital signs, and labor progress.

• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency interventions.

• Administer medications and manage epidurals or Pitocin per physician orders.

• Collaborate with OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams.

• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care.

• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements of the Travel Nurse

• Active California RN license.

• Current BLS certification required.

• Fetal Monitoring Certification (AWHONN) preferred.

• Minimum of 4 years’ recent Labor & Delivery experience.

• Ability to work in high-stress situations and respond quickly to emergencies.
