Travel Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (RN)

Seven Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Alamogordo, New Mexico offering a weekly total of $2,050. This day shift (3x12s) role is ideal for nurses passionate about providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process.

Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

• Provide care and support through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum

• Monitor fetal heart tones, maternal vital signs, and labor progress

• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency interventions

• Administer medications and manage epidurals or Pitocin per physician orders

• Collaborate with OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams

• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care

• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols

Requirements of the Travel Nurse

• Active RN license (New Mexico or compact eligible)

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications

• Fetal Monitoring Certification (AWHONN) preferred

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience

• Ability to work in high-stress situations and respond quickly to emergencies
