Travel Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (RN)

This 13-week night shift contract (3×12-hour shifts) offers a competitive weekly blended rate of $2,700. Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

• Provide care and support during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods.

• Monitor fetal heart tones, maternal vital signs, and labor progression.

• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency interventions.

• Administer medications, including epidurals and Pitocin, as ordered.

• Collaborate closely with OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams.

• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care.

• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to hospital safety protocols.

Requirements of the Travel Nurse

• Active New Mexico RN license (or compact eligible).

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications. Fetal Monitoring Certification (AWHONN) preferred.

• Minimum 2 years’ recent L&D experience.

• Strong assessment, communication, and patient advocacy skills.

• Ability to respond quickly in high-stress situations and emergencies.
