Travel Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology

Key Responsibilities of the Travel Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic imaging interventions

• Administer moderate sedation and monitor patients throughout procedures

• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care pre-, intra-, and post-procedure

• Maintain sterile technique and ensure all equipment is prepared and functioning

• Collaborate closely with radiologists, technologists, and multidisciplinary team members

• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-procedure care

Requirements of the Travel Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse:

• Active RN license (Illinois or compact state)

• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology experience in an acute care setting

• Strong critical care background and ability to respond to emergencies

• Excellent communication, organizational, and technical skills
