Travel Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Key Responsibilities of the ICU RN:

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients

• Conduct detailed assessments and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition

• Manage ventilators, vasoactive drips, and life-support systems

• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams

• Administer medications and titrate infusions in accordance with protocols

• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR

• Participate in rapid response and code blue situations

Requirements of the ICU RN:

• Active New York RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start)

• BLS and ACLS certifications required

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience

• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills

• Proficiency with ICU equipment and evidence-based protocols
