Travel Registered Nurse – Endoscopy

Key Responsibilities of the Travel Endoscopy Registered Nurse:

• Assist physicians during endoscopic and other GI diagnostic or therapeutic procedures

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field, instruments, and endoscopy equipment

• Monitor patients before, during, and after sedation, ensuring safety and comfort

• Administer medications and monitor vital signs according to clinical protocol

• Provide pre- and post-procedure education and discharge instructions to patients and families

• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in EMR systems

• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and anesthesia staff to ensure efficient workflow

Requirements of the Travel Endoscopy Registered Nurse:

• Active RN license (Massachusetts or compact state)

• BLS certification required

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Endoscopy or GI Lab RN experience in an acute or outpatient setting

• Strong knowledge of conscious sedation, infection control, and patient monitoring practices
