Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (RN)

Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

• Provide urgent, high-quality care in a fast-paced Emergency Department during night shifts

• Rapidly assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with acute medical conditions

• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond effectively to critical changes

• Collaborate closely with physicians and the wider ED team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, procedures, and aftercare

• Accurately document patient assessments and care, maintaining compliance with hospital standards

• Act quickly and competently in life-saving interventions and trauma care situations

Requirements of the Travel Nurse

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in an Emergency Department setting
