Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

Deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting

Assess and triage patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions

Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed

Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to hospital policies
-
Respond rapidly to medical emergencies and escalate concerns appropriately

Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
Requirements of the Travel Nurse

Active New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid Compact license
-
Current BLS and ACLS certification

Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in an Emergency Department
