Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
- Provide immediate assessment, triage, and care for patients in the Emergency Department
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in urgent situations
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to critical changes promptly
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality emergency care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with hospital standards
- Educate patients and families on treatment, follow-up care, and discharge instructions
Requirements of the Travel Nurse
- Active North Carolina (or compact state) Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent ED nursing experience
- Strong adaptability and clinical judgment in fast-paced environments
