Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED)

Key Responsibilities of the Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse:

• Provide expert, compassionate care to patients in emergent and critical conditions

• Rapidly assess, triage, and stabilize patients presenting with diverse medical emergencies

• Administer medications, perform interventions, and assist with advanced procedures

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, effective care

• Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment safely and efficiently

• Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in EMR systems

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

Requirements of the Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse:

• Active RN license (Massachusetts or compact state)

• BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications required

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience in an acute care hospital

• Comfortable with all cases inluding Pediatric

• Strong critical thinking, triage, and communication skills
