Key Responsibilities of the Travel CVICU RN:

• Provide specialized critical care to postoperative cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patients

• Manage hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive infusions, ventilators, and advanced cardiac support equipment

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists, surgeons, and respiratory therapists

• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and manage complex, high‑acuity cases

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the EMR

• Uphold evidence‑based practices and CVICU safety standards

Requirements of the Travel CVICU RN:

• Active Illinois RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start)

• BLS and ACLS required.

• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU experience

• Strong knowledge of cardiac critical care, hemodynamics, and postoperative recovery
