Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Seven Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a 13-week Cardiovascular Operating Room assignment in Richmond, Virginia. This evening shift position (5×8-hour shifts) offers a weekly total of $2,880 and is ideal for Travel RNs with a strong background in cardiac surgery, including CABG, valve replacement, and other open-heart procedures.

Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

• Scrub and circulate in complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and ensure proper instrumentation setup

• Monitor patient status intraoperatively and anticipate surgeon needs

• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all OR protocols and safety standards

• Ensure proper care and handling of surgical instruments and equipment

Requirements of the Travel Nurse

• Active RN license (Virginia or compact eligible)

• Current BLS certification required

• Minimum of 2 years’ recent CVOR experience in high-acuity surgical settings

• Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating for cardiac cases

• Strong knowledge of surgical equipment, sterile technique, and cardiac anatomy

• Ability to stay calm, focused, and efficient during complex procedures
