Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

This 13-week day/night shift contract (3×12-hour shifts) offers a competitive weekly blended rate of $2,880. It’s an excellent role for RNs with strong critical care experience, particularly in managing post-cardiac surgical patients.

Key Responsibilities of the Travel CVICU RN:

• Deliver critical care to post-cardiac surgery patients, including bypass, valve replacement, and heart transplant cases.

• Monitor hemodynamic status, ventilators, and invasive lines.

• Administer and titrate vasoactive medications according to protocols.

• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, intensivists, and the interdisciplinary team.

• Document interventions accurately and adhere to ICU protocols.

• Respond effectively to emergencies and rapid changes in patient condition.

Requirements of the Travel CVICU RN:

• Active North Dakota RN license (or compact eligible).

• Current BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications.

• Minimum 2 years’ recent CVICU experience.

• Proficiency in critical care monitoring, procedures, and medication management.

• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
