Key Responsibilities of the Cardiac Cath Lab RN:

• Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures

• Prepare patients and provide education throughout the care process

• Monitor and document hemodynamic values and patient responses

• Administer medications, including sedation, following facility protocols

• Maintain and troubleshoot Cath Lab equipment and ensure procedural readiness

• Maintain a sterile and safe environment throughout all procedures

• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary team members

• Support patient recovery in the post-procedure phase

Requirements of the Cardiac Cath Lab RN:

• Active West Virginia RN license (or ability to obtain before start)

• BLS and ACLS required

• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience

• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and interventional cardiology

• Ability to manage high-acuity, fast-paced procedural environments
