Key Responsibilities of the Travel Registered Dietitian

Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans

Monitor and evaluate patients’ dietary progress, making adjustments as necessary

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams

Educate patients and families on nutrition, dietary restrictions, and wellness strategies

Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards

Ensure compliance with HIPAA and dietary regulations

Contribute to case discussions and team meetings to support patient recovery
Requirements

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

Active New York state licensure

Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a clinical or acute care setting

Proficiency in using electronic medical records and nutritional software

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
