Key Responsibilities of the Travel Occupational Therapist:

• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs for patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery

• Help patients develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work-related skills

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize functional outcomes

• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment use

• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress notes in the EMR

• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility standards of care

Requirements of the Travel Occupational Therapist:

• Active Illinois OT license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)

• BLS certification required

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Occupational Therapy experience in an acute, rehab, or outpatient setting

• Strong patient assessment, therapeutic planning, and communication skills

• Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based practice
