Key Responsibilities of the Travel Pediatric CVOR Technologist:

• Assist pediatric cardiac surgeons during complex cardiovascular procedures

• Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical field, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques

• Handle and prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and specialized cardiac equipment

• Support intraoperative procedures, including open-heart and minimally invasive surgeries

• Collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, anesthesiologists, and nursing teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

• Maintain accurate surgical counts and ensure equipment is functioning properly before and after cases

• Anticipate surgeon and procedural needs for high-quality, efficient patient care

Requirements of the Travel Pediatric CVOR Technologist:

• Active NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential

• BLS certification required.

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Pediatric CVOR experience in an acute care or children’s hospital setting

• Strong knowledge of pediatric cardiac anatomy, surgical instrumentation, and safety standards
