Key Responsibilities of the Travel Certified Surgical Technologist:

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures

• Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and supplies

• Ensure proper handling and labeling of specimens and surgical tools

• Check and maintain surgical equipment to ensure readiness

• Adhere to strict infection control and patient safety protocols

• Work collaboratively with the surgical team to provide high-quality patient care

• Maintain accurate surgical counts and documentation per hospital policy

Requirements of the Travel Certified Surgical Technologist:

• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through NBSTSA

• BLS and ACLS certifications required

• Minimum of 2 years of recent surgical technology experience

• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical instrumentation

• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
