DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Manager to lead a frontline social work team within our Children’s Services. This is a key leadership role where you will support staff to deliver excellent social work practice and drive continuous service improvement in a fast-paced, diverse borough.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership and supervision: Manage and support a team of social workers, ensuring effective decision-making, professional development, and well-being.

  • Drive quality practice: Monitor casework, audit performance, and uphold standards to ensure children receive safe, timely, and outcome-focused interventions.

  • Ensure compliance and accountability: Oversee statutory duties, performance indicators, and practice frameworks in line with legislation and council policies.

  • Promote partnership working: Collaborate with multi-agency professionals to deliver coordinated, holistic support for children and families.
