If clinician previously worked with Sanford, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.**This location does not accept local travelers with permanent addresses within 80 miles*All clinicians must badge in and out at facilityScrubs: *Provided* Ceil BlueLooking for surgical assistant with experience in Cardiovascular procedures: CABG, Angiograms, Endarterectomies (Carotid and Femoral), Aortic Root repairs, Valve Replacement, AAA s, etc. Surgical assist would also be required to do General, Ortho, OB/GYN, Urology, ENT, and Plastics procedures. *Would be required to work at the main hospital surgery center and the outpatient surgery center which is across the street. Types of procedures required. Looking for surgical assistant with experience in Cardiovascular procedures: CABG, Angiograms, Endarterectomies (Carotid and Femoral), Aortic Root repairs, Valve Replacement, AAA s, etc. Surgical assist would also be required to do General, Ortho, OB/GYN, Urology, ENT, and Plastics procedures. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)Computerized charting (EPIC), Covidien cauteries, Stryker laparoscopic towers, etc. Required skills and minimum years of experience.Must have skills in Cardiovascular surgical procedures and basic General surgery procedures. Minimum of 2 year of experience.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)BLS requiredFloating to over units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)Would be required to work at our main hospital surgery center and our outpatient surgery center which is across the street. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.12 OR s at main hospital and 6 OR s at outpatient surgery centerNurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)1:1Dress Code: Appropriate attire- will have scrubs that they can change intoTell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Our Unit consists of all surgery specialties: CV, Neuro, General, Ortho, Plastics, OB/GYN, Robotic, ENT, and Urology. We are busy unit that ranges in around 40 to 60 procedures a day. Orientation is a week. We will have them work closely with a preceptor for that week. Preference cards for surgical procedures are very thorough and up to date. Surgeons are really good to work with and our other surgical assistant s are a combination of Registered Nurse First Assists and Surgical Technologist First Assists.
