NM will discuss how the schedule for Cardiac works in the interviewAt least 1 year of pediatric cardiac experience is preferred. We might consider less experience if they ve been working as a surgical tech primarily (and recently) in a pediatric cardiac position.13 WEEKSUnder departmental supervision or the direction of the circulating RN, the Senior Surgical Technician follows established policies, procedures, and regulations, performs/assists with various technical procedures or drug preparation, maintenance, or exams. The Senior Surgical Technician functions in a senior perioperative surgical technologist role. Responsible for additional duties including but not limited to, performing in the role of SPD Technician and Anesthesia Technician. This position covers all surgical technician specialty services in the OR, including, but not limited to, Cardiac and Trauma specialty areas, and reports to the Operating Room Manager.Works with a RN specialist as a clinical expert, resource person, and role model for staff and physicians by providing specialty area(s) in the hospital and in Ambulatory Surgery Clinics with appropriate support.Prepares and maintains supplies, instrumentation, and equipment.Collaborates with SPD, vendors, and specialty nursesResponsible for updating preference cards, facilitating in-service and education opportunities. and receiving and reviewing trays from vendorsOrders supplies and instruments in coordinator with the specialty nurses RatePlan:2024 Travel Regular 36GWW
