Surgical Technician

Key Responsibilities

As a Surgical Technician, you will:

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and ready

• Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field

• Count supplies and instruments pre- and post-operation to ensure nothing is retained

• Ensure operating room cleanliness and readiness for each case

• Handle specimens properly and deliver them to the appropriate departments

• Monitor patient safety and follow all infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred or required based on facility

• Current BLS certification

• Minimum 1 year of operating room experience preferred

• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, team-oriented surgical environment

• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and communication skills
