Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients’ speech, language, and swallowing needs

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Provide therapy to improve communication, cognitive-linguistic skills, and swallowing function

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapy teams for optimal outcomes

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulations

• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and progress

• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and discharge planning

Requirements

• Active North Carolina Speech Language Pathologist license (or eligibility to obtain)

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates considered

• Strong communication, assessment, and treatment planning skills

• Previous clinical or rehabilitation experience preferred
